Extreme Disappointment, January 31, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Thermador : MBES 2.1 cu. ft. Built-in Microwave Oven - Stainless Steel We purchased two Thermador MBES microwave ovens and both were defective. The first one had a door that didn't line up, and the second one, after plugging it in, we found that it would go on and shut off after 2 seconds. The seller was very helpful with the first one and had an authorized repair company come out to look at the door. The repair company said it would take at least a month to get the parts in, so we decided to send back the microwave and order another one. When we received the second one, we plugged it in and it was faulty also. After getting conflicting stories as to whether it was suitable to be used in an older Thermador wall unit, we were assured it was fine. The repair company came back out to work on the second microwave and when he contacted Thermador because he couldn't find a solution, they said they would not warranty the unit because it was going into a SMW272 wall unit and that model is older.

Thermador replacement of Built In Microwave, August 21, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Thermador : MBES 2.1 cu. ft. Built-in Microwave Oven - Stainless Steel Had an older Built in Thermador oven and MW. Purchased this Thermador MW and was not sure of match up. Easy replacement and perfect fit. Very satisfied at this point.
